Well, as a Scot I’m well used to the unpredictability of the weather. We having a saying; if you are bored of the weather just now then wait five minutes.
Yesterday was one of THE most marvellous days ever with clear blue calm and sunshine. On a clear day you can see forever as Barbara Streisand sang and from ten and a half thousand feet up, the alpine panorama was quite humbling.
The contrast today, as I look out the window from breakfast, could not be more startling. The mountains have disappeared from view as snow clouds descend. Silently snow falls, snow on snow refreshing the pistes and exciting the ‘powder hounds’. Perhaps it’s natures way of forcing those who ‘overdid it’ yesterday to a gentler pace today……..for me, well, it’s an excuse for a hot chocolate and a spot of knitting!
